Wiesław Grzegorczyk

Born in 1965 in Rzeszów. Graphic designer, academic teacher, graduate of the Medical Academy (1990) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (1995). Associate Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Rzeszów and at the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl.

Author of posters, logos and visual identities, book designs, coats of arms, banners, etc.

33 individual exhibitions; participation in about 300 group exhibitions, including the most important poster festivals, biennials, triennials and quadriennials since 1995.

Winner of 40 prizes and awards in design competitions (among others: 6th Political Poster Triennial in Mons – 4th prize, 1995; Krakow Poster Festival – award, 1999; Taiwan International Poster Design Award – special award given by Shigeo Fukuda, 2005; Graphis Poster Silver Awards 2020, 2025; Graphis Poster Gold  Award 2026; “Postercard” – 3rd prize, 2025; Poster Quadrennial Bardejov-Krakow 2025 – special award), logo competitions (for the city of Bielsko-Biała – 1st prize, 1996; the University of Rzeszów – 1st prize, 2001; the 25th anniversary of “Solidarity” – 1st prize, 2004; WOLDA – Best of Poland 2010, Award of Excellence 2017, Best of Show 2020, Bronze Award 2023) and film competitions (ETIUDA’96 and OFAFA’96 festival awards).

Awarded with the national Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture “Gloria Artis” (2023).

Member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers and the Association of Polish Graphic Designers.
