Patrycja Longawa

The main initiator of the International Music Poster Biennale in Rzeszów. Biennale’s chief curator and president. For many years, her work has been presented at numerous important exhibitions related to poster art and illustration. She has presented her work in 38 solo exhibitions (in Poland and abroad) and approximately 560 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, the majority of which were international. Her work has been presented in 50 countries (Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Macau, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, USA, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela). She has won numerous awards and distinctions.

Her posters and illustrations have been featured in numerous prestigious reviews and exhibitions, where the number of submitted works has often ranged from several to tens of thousands. These included: the Ecuador Poster Biennial, the Bienal International del Cartel en México, the Biennial of Poster Bolivia, the International Poster Biennale Lublin, the Polish Poster Biennale, the International Poster Triennial in Toyama, and the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw. Those competitions are among the most important and prestigious exhibitions related to poster art in the world.

Patrycja Longawa has received 120 awards, distinctions, and nominations both domestically and internationally, most of which were from international competitions. The author’s most important awards include:

• 1st Place, “Ogaki Matsuri Festival International poster competition”, Japan, 2017
• 2nd Prize, “Socio-Political Poster Biennale”, Oświęcim, Poland, 2018
• Prize in the international “14th Golden Bee” competition (Poster Unlimited category), Russia, 2020
• Excellent Award in the “Posters about the Penghu Region” category at the Hehu International Poster Festival, China, 2023
• Professor Tadeusz Grabowski Award at the 28th Polish Poster Biennale, Katowice, Poland, 2023
